What girl doesn't want to be surrounded by gorgeous jocks day in and day out? Jordan Woods isn't just surrounded by hot guys, though - she leads them as the captain and quarterback on her high school football team. They all see her as one of the guys, and that's just fine. As long as she gets her athletic scholarship to a powerhouse university. But now there's a new guy in town who threatens her starring position on the team... and has her suddenly wishing to be seen as more than just a teammate.

REVIEW:

I first known football and liked it because of the manga slash TV anime series "Eyeshield 21". I got obsessed with the manga because of the story line and Hiruma; the quarterback extraordinaire. He's a sadistic genius that always has way of getting what he wants. And his Hannibal Lecter look alike smiles never cease to scare the shit out of me. LOL Also the techniques that I read in the manga was really impressive.

Well, I never expect Catching Jordan to be "books for boys" like Eyeshield 21 because first, the cover is glaring obvious that its more about the 'romance' than the 'game' and second, the storyline confirms it. And as a girl I admit, I liked it.

Being surrounded by a bunch of guys like Francesca is completely different in having to play with them or more being their captain like Jordan.

Catching Jordan is totally cute, sweet and other nice words that you could think. All the scenes in this book - like Jordan's relationship with her best friend Sam Henry and her being the captain of the team makes me fangirling all the way through. Her story could easily have felt fake and unlikely, but the novel stays honest, with just enough obstacles for it to be believable.

Though the things that didn’t work for me is the relationship of Jordan to her father, the 'depth-ness' of why he do that and the acceptance is dully described. I mean, it might work if there’s a history of Jordan being seriously injured when she’s in grade school because of football and her father went ballistic thats why he got scared for her and blah! Blah! Blah! Get the idea?

Also Jordan was really close to a few football players and they had her back - esp. Carter and JJ. They are sweet and funny but I didn’t see any 'one of a kind' qualities of them that explains why they are the only one in her team that she described as her best friends? Yeah it sweet to have a guy friend who’s always behind your back when there a pervert jerk surrounded you. But why them? How they became friends like Jordan and Henry?

While on the positive aspect of this book is that how the author didn’t make Ty, a sex-god-guy to a total-jack-ass-guy (because I really hate it when the authors do that to the dumpee guys). And the sweet innocent scenes of Jordan and Henry are just so lovable.

What? Duh I’m a girl I just can’t help liking this book.
