Description
At fourteen, Nick Gautier thinks he knows everything about the world around him. Streetwise, tough and savvy, his quick sarcasm is the stuff of legends. . .until the night when his best friends try to kill him. Saved by a mysterious warrior who has more fighting skills than Chuck Norris, Nick is sucked into the realm of the Dark-Hunters: immortal vampire slayers who risk everything to save humanity.
Nick quickly learns that the human world is only a veil for a much larger and more dangerous one: a world where the captain of the football team is a werewolf and the girl he has a crush on goes out at night to stake the undead.
But before he can even learn the rules of this new world, his fellow students are turning into flesh eating zombies. And he’s next on the menu.
As if starting high school isn’t hard enough. . .now Nick has to hide his new friends from his mom, his chainsaw from the principal, and keep the zombies and the demon Simi from eating his brains, all without getting grounded or suspended. How in the world is he supposed to do that?
REVIEW
I absolutely loved this book! strong characters, great storyline, humor, and suspense. An excellent way for young adults to dive into Sherrilyn Kenyon’s masterful mixing of ancient mythology into the modern mayhem of paranormal adventure worthy of today’s fast paced reader consumption!
I can’t wait for more stories of what I expect to become the remaining nine objectives Nick must learn to become fully self-aware and controlled with regards to his undiscovered talents and abilities. That’s the best I can do without spoiling anything at this point!
This book is a special treat for those of us who already know and love many of the characters woven into this story from all the other Dark-Hunter, Were-Hunter and Dream-Hunter novels by the brilliant and mysterious Sherrilyn Kenyon! Take a break from reality and visit (New Orleans) Gautier style.
This is super paranormal novel. It's my first book I read about zombies, shape shifters, vampire, demons, gods, echetera all in one. Can you believe that? haha for me this is super weird but extremely great book. I want to know more about the super cool characters, and what Nick is really are.
All the characters are super useful not like other books that only the main characters are focused in.
Nick is sort of nerd but he's really have this attitude and humor or personality that you want to be friends with. His have a smart mouth. haha And the Idea of when the werewolf hit by an electron something, haha I laugh about 2 minutes in that.
